Dear Little Debbie

Dear Little Debbie,

When I was a kid we got to eat your snacks as a treat! This was mostly because money was tight back then. The rich kids all ate Ho Hos, Ding-Dons, and Cupcakes. In fact, I kind of always viewed Little Debbies as being knock-offs of Hostess products!

Now I am an adult I tend to prefer Little Debbie. Money is still tight and Hostess all seems full of preservatives and crap I won't eat.

I did have two things I wanted to know:

There was a snack that had a buttercream frosting and a chocolate cake. These seem to be gone everywhere. Did you quit making them or are they just so popular that they are always out of stock?

Have you ever considered updating "Debbie" to something a bit more modern in design?

Sincerely,

Christopher L. Jorgensen

My reaction:

What are the chances that I’d get my letter to “Little Debbie” answered by Deborah herself?

Well folks, I’m taking off June 27ish-July 25ish from the site. No new letters for a whole month! On the 27th the “Site Reader” letter will become the front page. Don’t worry I’ll be rewriting that post this weekend, and I am not quitting. I am just taking a break. I’ve been doing this for two years now, and I don’t think I’ve taken a break. It’s about time! I’ll probably still be on twitter (@jackassletters) quite a bit, but even there I would like to scale back a bit for a bit.
