Dear Care Bears,
I am not sure you are aware there are people who call themselves "furries." These are people who like to dress up in anthropomorphic animal costumes and engage in bizarre behaviors (I'm not one of these people!).
Anyway, I was thinking you could make lots of money if you came out with a "Furry" line of toys aimed at adults, or even Care Bear costumes for adults that these people could buy and wear to their conventions and such.
I'm not thinking anything furverted here, but just some nice adult sized costumes. What they do in them isn't your problem.
Do you think this is a good idea? If you make these do I get any royalties?
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen

My reaction:
There really are people who do this. And I do think this would be a money making idea. Catering to fetish crowds is always profitable.
I think it’s funny that if you do any searches on the subject of “furries” an episode of CSI, “Fur and Loathing,” comes up where they were inaccurately portrayed (or so the internet buzz says). You can also learn more than you would ever care to by following some of those links.
But whatever you do, don’t get involved in a “furpile” unless you really are a furvert.
