Dear Charmin,
Now that Mr. Whipple is dead, is it OK to squeeze the Charmin, or is this behavior we should still avoid?
Thanks,
Christopher L. Jorgensen

Dear Mr. Jorgensen,
Thanks for sharing your interest in Mr. Whipple. Here are some interesting facts:
Dick Wilson did commercials for Charmin for many years as George Whipple. His tag line was … ‘Please don’t squeeze the Charmin’. He passed away November 19, 2007 at the age of 91. Mr. Wilson made more than 500 commercials as Mr. Whipple. He retired in 1985 but P&G brought him back for an encore commercial in 1999. The single ad showed Wilson ‘coming out of retirement’ against the advice of his golfing and poker buddies for one more chance to sell a new Charmin. Thanks for getting in touch with us.
Sincerely,
Carole

When you write your letter, send it to whichever address tickles your bum.
I was too busy writing letters to get all clever here! If I’d known Mr. Whipple played poker, I might have left the poor man to rest in peace (and if you believe that one you’re likely to call a three seven off suit preflop!).
Damn, P&G is cool! They make my toothpaste, my cat food, my laundry detergent, my potato chips, my facial razor, my coffee, and all the best sex toys! I really shouldn’t be screwing with these guys.
They were kind enough to send along the below coupons, which dumb old me couldn’t figure out what metamucil has to do with TP. Seriously, I had to have it pointed out. It’s a win win, you use one product of theirs that makes you need another product of theirs. A master plan, but they better hope Budweiser doesn’t start making toilet paper or they will face some serious competition!
I really can’t use these coupons, so first person leaving a comment, then emailing me with an address will get them dropped in the mail. Unless I lose them first.
