Dear Hanes (pt. 2)
This is a followup letter. Read: First Letter to Hanes.Sent: June 2, 2008
Dear Hanes,
I wrote previously (reference #1604344) about your Men's Hanes Classics tagless Comfort Cool Sports Briefs, and how much I like them, only to be told you have discontinued them! You wrote that you hope I "will give one of our other products a try," but I have no idea which product would come closest. I am hoping you could just suggest something for me to try out (has to come in purple or I am not interested!).
Or...
It's probably too much to ask, but I figure since you have discontinued this style of underwear, that maybe you would have a couple pallets of them laying around in some warehouse or some back office. If you're not going to sell them, could you send me any of the purple ones (size XL) you have left?
This would be way more righteous than just throwing them away!
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen

Dear Mr. Jorgensen,
Thank you for contacting Hanes Underwear. We are always delighted when Consumers take time out of their schedule to share their comments and welcome the opportunity to address inquiries regarding our products.
You may try the Classics style 7567 or the regular style 7820 in your area. We can’t guarantee colors in the packages, we just know they are assorted.
I will forward your comments on to our Marketing Department about the classics style you had.
Mr. Jorgensen, if we can be of future assistance, you may reach us at 1-800-994-4348, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm (EST), or on the Internet at www.hanes.com.
Sincerely,

My reaction:
Poor Carolyn Rivera. I guess she must have left the company. Again, read: First Letter to Hanes.
And I guess it was too much to ask for them to send me all their leftover purple power panties! Nothing could have made me happier though than a truckload of Hanes underwear (I am a simple man). A big enough truck and I’d never have to do a load of underwear again! Such a fantasy.
This letter does at least address the idea that I need a new underwear recommendation. If I ever do need to buy any new pairs, I’ll be sure to report back! Who knows, I may even write Patricia and let her know how they are working out!
