Dear Philadelphia Cream Cheese,

I really like your cream cheese, but was wondering if there was something better. If you could let me know that would be great!

Thanks,

They gave me a coupon “Good for ONE FREE Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese (any variety) product up to $3.69,” which pretty much rocks! A good return for being a smart ass if you ask me.

I think they missed a great opportunity though. They hit me with what I assume is a standard marketing response. They could have just wrote back, “In our opinion there isn’t anything better than Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese.” Answer the question! Might as well say you’re the best.

For the record, I really do like Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese! Yum yum.

Just some trivia here.
Philadelphia cream cheese was started in Philadelphia NY not PA, as 98% of the world thinks.
Another food company tried doing Keystone Cream cheese and the courts prevented it, even though Philly Cream cheese was a NY Product.

There might be a better product. In Australia, the makers of Vegemite recently introduced a new product - Vegemite with cream cheese in it. I haven’t tried it but I love Vegemite and I love cream cheese so how could they go wrong?

They went wrong by holding a national contest allowing the Australian public to name the new product. Out of hundreds of thousands of submissions, they chose the name iSnack 2.0, which was submitted by a New Zealander. Epic fail. Australians were up in arms as no one likes Kiwis (New Zealanders), and the name was not only a blatant rip off of iPhone, iPod, etc, it was also absolute crap. So Kraft changed the name to Cheesybite. What a waste.

My point is, if you are so inclined, write Kraft in Australia and they might send you a jar of Cheesybite if you tell them how much you love Philadelphia Cream Cheese.
