Dear McDonald’s

Dear McDonald's,
I miss seeing "Birdie the Early Bird" on TV. I was wondering if I could get an autographed photo of her and Grimace together?
I know you guys don't like the term "McJob," but I think you should embrace it, and use it in an ad campaign. Stress how cool it is to work at McDonald's and point out how much more you pay than Wal-Mart and how good your benefits are. You could then reclaim this word and no one would think of it as a negative term. Kids would actually look forward to getting old enough to get a McJob, and soon to be retiring seniors would also clamor for a McDonalds's McJob.
Gay people have done this with the term "queer." I'm sure you've heard the chant "We're here. We're queer. Get used to it." We'll you could have your workers come up with something like this for McJob! I'm betting you could do a better job reclaiming McJob that the queers have done, since it seems only a queer can call a queer "queer."
Anyway, something to consider.
Thanks,
Christopher L. Jorgensen

My reaction:
To say I am not a fan of McDonald’s is an understatement. I blame them for school violence, the failing economy, childhood obesity, and not responding to this letter!
Ok, I would have been a bit surprised if they had. It was a bit over-the-top. Oh well, sometimes a joke sounds way funnier when I am writing it than when I go back a reread what I’ve written.
I would have been surprised if anyone in McMarketing had written back. It would have been nice to be surprised.
