The Shocking Ad Goggle Doesn’t Want You To See!
My twitter avatar was made by Anthony Imperioli after I guest posted over on The Zimp. Somewhere along the line I made a little ad out of it and a few people put it on their sites. I like it. It's cute. It's fun.
I decided to make a goggle adwords ad out of it. It's that boring assed ad up there. No tagline. Just the image and my URL. In case you can't read the reason for rejection it's "Inappropriate Image/Video Content." Come on, goggle, it's not a real donkey show!
I don't get it. The only thing I could possibly see that could be an issue is the URL, since gasp, it says jackass! If this is the case that's problematic, since it's my fucking URL and they ran that fine as a text ad for the last three months!
There's an option to submit a "help" request in adwords, so I submitted one asking why they rejected it. They say they typically get in touch in 24 hours. I'm past 48 hours.
I'll be sure to let you know when they finally tell me my answer, since I do realize it's the weekend. This may be the last time I trust goggle with my global letter writing empire!
In the meantime, you can put any of these on your site (if you like).

So, goggle says that my image is inappropriate, so I wrote and asked why.

So now I guess they are saying the image is fine? I can only assume it's the word "letters" they are objecting to, since there's nothing offensive about "jackass." Fucking prudes. I mean the irony is that they are currently running one of my ads with my URL as text:
