twitter

I've started to use twitter to engage in conversations about these letters. I'd call it promoting, but due to Union rules my Marketing department won't allow me to do so, and I think I've been doing a bit more than pimping my site.

I do want to take some time to give nods to some of the people on there that have been making it a good time:

Joel Postman @jpostman Minister of Propaganda, and author of SocialCorp.
Joel's sent 39 followers my way in a single day (and they are still trickling in), and has been an interesting person to follow. He was the first person I stalked followed on twitter.I don't know shit about social media, am not sure I get the point, and don't always agree with what he writes, but I've learned a lot from his site, and his tweets. He's also a good sport (though he never answered my letter). Joel's name would make the perfect alias for a letter writer.

Nikol Hasler @NikolHasler
Has the best avatar on the site, makes me laugh (admittedly, a pretty low bar), and hosts the Midwest Teen Sex Show. It wasn't what I was expecting, but is still quite good, and funny.

Ian Sharman @idsharman
Who should have blocked me when I first followed him, but instead had nice things to say. He's a bit talented, so means something when he says good things about me.
His Diviant Art site
Young Gods
Slam Ridley

Steph Adamo @stephadamo
She's a better poet than me, takes good pictures, and doesn't suck at design. She beats me 3 out of 3! And she knows me in the really real world and seldom points and laughs. She also still follows me.

Trelvix Husseinowitz @trelvix
Bringing stand-up to twitter. Damn funny in 140 characters or less. And to get him to go away you just need to trick him into saying his name backwards.

Michelle M McCormack @MichelleMMM
She's pointed out some pretty cool stuff. Things that make the internet less sucky. You should check out her site.

Guy Kawasaki @guykawasaki
Who actually followed me back (he's a slut that way) and has responded to a tweet or two of mine. Now, if we could only get him to stop spamming!

@tweetbomb (banned). @tweetban
For making me realize there was something you could do with twitter beyond the obvious stupidity. If only they had used their power for good!

I may add to this list. I might even take some people off. I'm fickle.
