Dear Tumor

[Update: All went well.]

I'm going in for a procedure at Mary Greeley Medical Center tomorrow at 11:30 to have a multi-cell benign tumor removed from the right side of my neck (right behind the ear). You can see it in the two videos below. These videos are like a mirror so the left side is actually where you should look. I also tried to isolate the frame so you can see it without playing the clip. It's that with egg-shaped thing.

My surgeon is Dr. Reason Ford. Hey, I didn't name him, and I didn't shave him, but since he'll be cutting into my head I need to keep the making fun of him to a minimum.

Anyway, I thought you might like to know why I probably won't be updating for a while.

Kind of gross, huh?

Positive thoughts, prayers, and large amounts of cash are always welcome.

Or just send a check in the mail (if you'd rather support the USP than PayPal) to this address:

You’ll be back harassing corporate America before you know it!  FYI - I was once referred to a neurologist named Dr. Richard Head . . . yep . . . good ol’ Dick Head himself!  (I couldn’t stop laughing long enough to even schedule the appointment.)

Oh man, thank God it’s benign but good luck my friend. Just think of this when you see the doctor, “We can rebuild him, we have the technology” kidding. Anyway, stay in good spirits, and I’ll be sending good vibes your way. All the best and get well soon.

Oh no! - we’ll all be rooting for you. Just relax and it will all be over soon.

I think I need a life when I look at the vids of your scan several times instead of CNN!  Oh, and on the donation thing - check is in the mail.  If you don’t get it within a reasonable amount of time feel free to write a letter.

Good luck man.  Hope the recovery goes smoothly.

Wow, you look taller on twitter.

I hope they gave you lots of good drugs to take home. Remember, no matter how it feels, if they ask you if you are in pain, the answer is “yes.” Whatever you don’t use becomes part of your retirement program. One letter to Rush Limbaugh and you’re set.

Heal quickly, my friend. Glad you made it through this.
